Coleman, air quality in the Eastern U.S. is very unhealthy and even dangerous in

spots.

Smoke from hundreds of Canadian wildfires continues to pour south.

Their air quality alerts from Michigan down to South Carolina.

At the moment, the EPA says some of the worst air covers eastern Pennsylvania, parts of

Delaware and Maryland, and nearly all of New Jersey.

New York Governor Kathy Hocal warns that smoke is drifting west in her state and will persist

for days.

This plume can follow it.

It is moving.

Right now it is shifting further west and I want people in western New York to be ready

for that.

So we are expecting this to a bait possibly over the weekend, but that does not guarantee

that this won't come back and that is the message.

The New York Governor is pleading with people not to start barbecues or campfires.

NPR has learned that former President Donald Trump's lawyers have received a notice from

the Justice Department.

This indicates that Trump is a target of the agency's inquiry into the handling of classified

documents at his Florida Resort.

The notice to the lawyers gives them a chance to argue against and indictment of the former

President.
