The Georgia Court of Appeals has tentatively scheduled October arguments

to decide if District Attorney Fawnee Fawnee Willis can remain on former President Donald

Trump's Georgia election interference criminal case.

That timeline all but guarantees the case won't go to trial before the presidential election.

A three-judge panel will decide whether Fulton County DA Fawnee Willis can continue prosecuting

Trump and more than a dozen others accused of trying to overturn Georgia's 2020 election result.

The judges assigned to the appeal are all appointees of Republican governors.

Earlier this year, a judge allowed Willis to remain on the case after several defendants accused her of a conflict

due to a relationship with the top prosecutor she hired.

Trump and others appealed the ruling.

The court does not have to hold oral arguments and has until March 2025 to issue a decision.
