The House is preparing to vote on a bill to raise the debt ceiling, the vote forcing

some Democrats in the chamber to avoid avoiding it to fall against serious concerns they have

with the deal.

In PR's Lexi, she'll pital us more.

House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries says he'll be voting yes on the deal.

Quote without hesitation or reservation or trepidation.

But many Democrats do have major reservations about the deal.

Congressman Rokana of California said he and other members of the Progressive Caucus

are planning to vote no due to concerns about provisions on environmental regulation

and expanded work requirements for social programs.

But he added, if some vote was required to make sure that the country wouldn't default

to the then I think any of us would provide it.

A vote is expected later this evening.

So do and Sudan's army says that it's suspending its participation and talks with a rival

paramilitary force.

The US and Saudi Arabia have been mediating in the Biden administration calls Sudan's move

unfortunate as we hear from MPR's Michelle Kaliman.

A spokesman for Sudan's armed forces is accusing the rival rapid support forces of repeated

violations of a humanitarian truce and says that's why the army is walking away from

the talks.
