Coleman, President Biden and Congressional Republican space a serious time crunch to resolve

the dispute over the nation's debt ceiling.

NPR's Windsor Johnston reports both sides have signaled they're making progress as they

scrambled to avert a potential default.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer says he's feeling optimistic about the direction of

debt limit talks.

We've made good progress this week, but the work continues.
