The U.S. military pier off the coast of Gaza is finally ready, and the first trucks rolled off it today

delivering desperately needed humanitarian aid to Palestinians sheltering in the

southern city of Rafa where Israeli forces have moved in. And Piers Tom Bowman has in the

impure's Tom Bowman has more on how it will work.

The expectation is the pier will initially get up to 90 trucks per day

before ramping up to 150 each day. The Israel Defense Forces will

handle security on land, no US troops on the ground in Gaza, and there are two

what's called deconfliction cells manned by U.S. and Israel to make

sure these trucks are properly identified and not mistakenly attacked as we

saw with the world Central Kitchen workers who were killed by an Israeli

airstrike.

And Pierce Tom Bowman reporting, but getting enough trucks rolling will take time.

And the UN's World Food Program says their warehouses are empty. There is no food.

China and Russia have sworn to further deepen their economic and military partnerships

after a meeting between their two leaders in Beijing this week.

Empiers Emily Fang reports that two countries say they see a new global balance emerging.
