Israel has ordered wider evacuations in Raffa in southern Gaza,

as well as areas in the northern part of the enclave

as Israel's military looks for Hamas

militants. But the UN Agency for Palestinian refugees says there's no place for the

civilians to go and that at least 300,000 people are affected by the new evacuation orders.

Israel hasn't yet launched its long-planned full-scale invasion,

something President Biden says would result in the U.S. cutting off shipments of weapons

to the country.

And a State Department report has raised questions about how Israel is conducting the war,

and Piers Greg Myri has more.

The report was critical of Israeli military actions that have led to the high Palestinian

civilian death toll.

And a key line in the report said, quote,

it's reasonable to assess that Israel has violated

international humanitarian law.

Now, it didn't reach any sweeping final conclusions,

but it does reflect President Biden's increasing frustration with the way

Israel is operating in Gaza.

And Piers Greg Myri reporting, the Biden administration is planning to announce new tariffs on imports of certain Chinese products, including electric vehicles.
