Four members of far-right extremist group The Proud Boys, including its former leader,

have been convicted of seditious conspiracy for plotting to keep former President Donald

Trump in power after he lost the 2020 election.

A fifth member was acquitted of that charge, but convicted of other crimes, in connection

with the January 6th attack on the Capitol.

Attorney General Marigarl and said his department has now secured more than 600 convictions.

through tens of thousands of hours of video.

The North Carolina legislature voted yesterday to ban most abortions after 12 weeks of

pregnancy.

The bill now goes to the governor, Colin Campbell of Member Station WUNC reports.

The bill would extend the state's current ban on abortion after 20 weeks to 12 weeks,

with some exceptions after the first trimester.

The considers call it a compromise since it falls short of the full ban enacted in other

states.

They've paired the restrictions with paid parental leave for state employees and other measures.

Democratic Senator Gladys Robinson says the bill won't improve health care outcomes.
