Secretary of State Antony Blinken says he's looking at ways to get diplomats back to Sudan

as quickly as possible.

The U.S. evacuated the embassy over the weekend, more of M.P.R.S. Michelle Kellman.

Secretary Blinken says it was a difficult choice to suspend operations at the embassy,

but he says the violence in Sudan posed an unacceptable risk.

He says dozens of American citizens are still trying to leave Sudan, and the department

is trying to offer them advice.

In addition, we're looking at what options we have to perhaps resume diplomatic presence

in Sudan, including in Port Sudan.

That's something that we're looking at.

He calls that challenging and says some convoys trying to reach Port Sudan have been

looted and attacked.

He's still pushing for a ceasefire as his Kenya's foreign minister, who met with Blinken

in Washington.

President Biden met today with a group of Tennessee lawmakers who made news when they were

expelled or accused of bringing dishonor to the legislature with their protests against

gun violence.

Quickly dubbed the Tennessee three two of the members, Justin Jones and Justin Pearson,

both black were expelled, while Gloria Johnson narrowly survived an expulsion vote, Biden

perished all three for taking a stand.
