President Biden is painting Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy's demands for spending

cuts in order to lift the debt ceiling as a situation that would hurt the middle class.

The GOP leader in the House has released a debt ceiling proposal that is more than 300

pages long.

And among the things it would do is repeal Biden's signature climate and health care law.

McCarthy is proposing significant spending cuts and Biden delivered a sharp rebuke of

the Speaker's plan.

He proposed a huge cuts in imports and very important programs that millions of hard

work in the middle class Americans count on.

Speaking at a union hole in Maryland, Biden described McCarthy's economic agenda as

benefiting the wealthy.

He portrayed it as an extreme vision with massive cuts to programs people count on.

A 24-year-old Kansas City man accused of shooting a black teenager has pleaded not guilty

to two felony charges in his first quarter parents today.

Andrew D. Lester was stooped over and using a cane when he shuffled into the Clay County

courtroom.

He faces felony charges if assault in the first degree and armed criminal action.

Lester's accused of shooting 16-year-old Ralph Yarl twice last Thursday night.
