Live from NPR News in Washington, on Corvac Olman, the nearly $800 million settlement that

Dominion voting systems reached with Fox News and a defamation case will avoid going to

trial.

But NPR's Giles Knighter reports a Dominion lawyer is warning the fight against misinformation

is not over.

Dominion lawyer Justin Nelson says the settlement with Fox News shows that truth matters and

lies have consequences.

But speaking with reporters outside the Delaware Courthouse, Nelson said, misinformation

will likely remain a problem.

This litigation cannot solve all problems.

All of us remain ever vigilant to find common factual grounds.

The more than $787 million settlement is about half the $1.6 billion Dominion had sought

arguing that Fox damaged its reputation by promoting conspiracy theories about its voting

machines in the 2020 presidential election.
