On the eve of the first anniversary of the start of the war in Ukraine, Russian President

Bolomar Zelensky, Vladimir Putin, says his country will boost its nuclear forces.

It's been followed as an earlier decision to suspend Russia's membership in a key nuclear

arms deal with the U.S.

And Paris Charles Main reports from Moscow.

In a speech to mark the defender of the Fatherland holiday, Putin said Russia would replenish

its conventional arms and strengthen its nuclear triad of intercontinental missiles capable

of launching from air, land, and sea.

The move follows Putin's decision to suspend Russian participation in the new Star Treaty,

the lone remaining nuclear arms agreement with the U.S.

Moscow insists the future of the nuclear treaty now rests with Washington and its allies,

reconsidering their military support for Kiev.

As the war in Ukraine reaches the one-year mark, Putin has refrained Russia's invasion as

an existential threat from Western powers, intent on seizing Russia's historical lands.

Former Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein has been sentenced to a second-long prison

term for his convictions of rape and sexual assault, and Pierre's Mandelito Barker reports

he's already serving time for similar convictions in New York.

The Los Angeles judge ruled that Harvey Weinstein will serve 16 years in a California prison

in addition to his 23-year sentence in New York.
