The Memphis Police Department's investigation into a black motorist's death earlier this

month includes others besides the five officers who are fired and are now charged with

Tyre Niko's death.

Christopher Blank of Member Station WKNO reports authorities are now disclosing a six

officers been removed from active duty.

Officer Preston Hempil's body cam records his arrival at the traffic stop where he helps

two officers pull Tyre Niko's from his car.

After Niko's flees on foot, Hempil remains, not part of the group of five former policemen

now indicted on second-degree murder charges.

But the videos released Friday increased scrutiny on all involved in the incident.

Memphis NWACP president van Turner said more should be held accountable.

We want them to be terminated and we want them to suffer the consequences of their actions.

Two sheriff's deputies briefly seen in the video were also placed on leave.

And now Hempil, whose lawyer says is cooperating with the investigation.
