Live from NPR News in Washington. I'm Jack Spear. On the eve of the New Hampshire primary, it is down to just two Republican candidates,

though the polls suggest one candidate.

Former President Donald Trump goes into the contest with a sizable lead.

Former UN Ambassador Nicki Hale is also in the race and is hoping to post a strong showing.

New Hampshire Public Radio is Josh Rogers meanwhile says the candidates are attacking one another.

The animosity between Trump and Nicki Haley has certainly ramped up in the closing moments of the primary.

Each one is really questioning the other's fitness to lead.

More interesting to me and maybe more telling than the candidates

are what voters are saying.

And in some ways the crowds at Trump and Haley events, they almost operate in different separate

worlds at Trump events who find plenty of voters who say they never really seriously

considered other candidates. New Hampshire has an open primary meaning independence can vote in either party's primary.

In New York testimony was postponed today in writer E. Jean Carroll's defamation case against

former President Trump due to a sick juror.

With just one day to go until the New Hampshire primary,

reporters, including campaign reporters,

lined up early to get into the courthouse.

Trump's civil and criminal legal teams showed up in the courtroom after Trump told him he wanted to testify.

But 30 minutes late, the judge told the assembled crowd a juror had called in sick on his way to court and confirmed that Trump lawyers Elina Haba and Michael Medeo had been
