Today we are with mothers to mothers, a charity who work to empower women, their mission

being to ensure healthy, thriving families and an end to pediatric aids. They do this

for the support and guidance of their mentor mothers and I am absolutely thrilled to say

that we have one of them with us today. Please welcome Nozzie Sarella. Hello! Hello Javanna, how are you?

I'm very good, how are you? Good, good, good, thank you. Good, good, good. It's a very strange

time right now but I like, I think all the other episodes that we've done remotely, it feels

like we're in the same country, you know, we're kind of close but not, but we're very far

away. We are very far away, we are 11 hours by flight far away. Where are you? I am in Cape Towns

of Africa and you are part of, well you are a mentor mother for mothers to mothers. That is correct,

so I am a mentor mother from mothers to mothers, actually was a mentor mother for mothers to mothers,

I now work in the communications office but one thing I always say to people that once you become

a mentor mother, you are a mentor mother for life because the journey, the experience, it stays with

you forever. I think once you know the important work as well and how much you impact people,

so let's go straight back, let's not get ahead of ourselves so people know exactly what we're

talking about. Yes. What was it like when you found out you were pregnant for the first time?

So that was actually back in 2005, I was 19 years old and had fallen pregnant and so it was a very

exciting but also very frightening time of my life, of course I was excited because I was

carrying a new life inside of me, you know, my body was doing something out of the ordinary,

what I felt was out of the ordinary, at the same time being that young, I was not sure how I would

be a parent to someone else and be responsible 24-7 for someone else and so I had, I went to the clinic

for my very first until little care and as standard procedure in South Africa I was told that I would
