There seems to be no heavier a pain to carry than that of the loss of a child.

It's hard enough to lose a child to a health issue or accident, but when a stranger and

violence is involved, it seems unimaginable how a parent or a family member could get through

the day when their heart has been shattered by the loss or worse when they don't know where

their child is or what happened to them. Today I'll be telling two stories of young children

who went missing under bizarre circumstances. These cases are considered open, but they are in

essence solved? And both cases will have you asking, were family members involved?

These are the stories of Wallace Gidros and LaNoria Jones and their mysterious disappearances.

Born in Louisiana in 1957, Stanley Gidros would grow up to find himself a member of the army,

a choice that would end up dictating pivotal points in his life.

From 1978 to 1979, he was stationed in South Korea where he would meet his future wife,

Chom M. Gidros, who was 20 years old. After getting married while still in South Korea,

the couple was transferred to Fort Lewis McCord in Washington. On March 24, 1980,

they welcomed their baby boy, Wallace. Wallace's first few months were not easy.

Born two months premature, he had to stay in the hospital and spent his first 30 days of life

on respirator. Home for a week, his breathing issues continued and he had to go back to the hospital

for pneumonia treatment. Work wasn't always the easiest for the couple. Stanley's employment

history has been called sketchy, but what exactly that means isn't clear. He did, however,

leave the army on his own accord when he was to be stationed in Germany but was told that his
