Summary
Amanda agreed to stay overnight in a coworker’s apartment to dog-sit for the week. It seemed simple enough — until the second night changed the tone completely.
She had experienced sleep paralysis before, so waking up unable to move wasn’t unfamiliar. What unsettled her was the steady sensation of weight settling onto the mattress behind her — and the dog reacting at the same moment.
