Oh, hi. I can has Wednesday night special one hour edition of TBTO. Well, sure, I can. Hi, welcome to the show. It's Luke Burbank. You're listening to the program that's probably too beautiful to live.

It's a Wednesday night and it's a special post see how cuddle one hour edition got my good friend Jen Andrew sitting right over there. Hi, Jen. Hi.

And normally on the show is the faithful listeners know we weigh ourselves, but this shows on tape tonight because I'm in LA at this very moment at a spiritualized concert. That's not a cult. It's totally awesome band from the UK.

And I don't I don't know what my weight is, but frankly, I don't care. I'm in bliss. I mean, not this moment right now. It's the middle of the night on a Tuesday. I'm actually kind of tired.

They just had a bottle of wine. So you're probably not doing great. But Wednesday night Luke is over the moon and he doesn't care about his weight.

Nord is Wednesday night Jen. What's Wednesday night Jen doing? I'm on a date with my nieces Lucy and Greta. Oh, we're going to a park in their neighborhood that they have chosen well.

And they believe in wearing pink and red together, which I was always taught as wrong, but they have told me that I'm way off on them and all the cool kids are doing it. Well, all right. I think it's going to be an educational night for everyone.

But not the least of which will be you, the listeners, because we have a humdinger of an interview coming up for you in just a few moments.

I'm good friends with a guy named Steve Cher. He was actually one of my first supervisors in radio. He is a host on the public radio station here in Seattle, which is called KUOW.

And I've known him for a long time and I went out to lunch with him the other day. And he had this iPod headphone in one of his ears the whole time.

And I guess because he's a slightly quirky individual, it didn't occur to me that it was weird. I guess I thought he was listening to the radio station and had just forgotten to take it out because people at radio stations will sometimes walk around with a headphone in one ear to monitor the air signal.

You know, having forbid the station go off the air or whatever. So we're sitting there having lunch and he was talking about going to the gym and he said, I haven't been going out to the gym as much as I should because of my affliction.

And then he pointed at his iPod earbud. And I said, what are you talking about? And he was going, he says, my tenitis.

When we got into this conversation and apparently for the last three years, he's had this very high pitched feedbacky word in his head 24 hours a day.

He says it goes on a three day cycle. So it'll start out okay and it'll get worse and worse and worse and then it'll be deafening and it will make him completely nuts.

He's only found one thing that actually helps him and it's listening to this weird jungle sounds, crickets and babbling brook sound effect thing.

We're going to play all the sounds for you. This is all coming up. It's all going to be like it's in your own head.

I want to preview it for you though because I want it to all be very apparent when it's happening, what exactly is going on.
