I first listened to Navarra FM as a teenager.

It was for me far and away the most exhilarating thing on the radio.

Although I had some political experiences at university, it was listening to Navarra FM that

really formed me into the kind of person who cares about the politics of the world around

them. The journey of Navarra FM has now come to an end. This is the last episode.

Not because Navarra Media is going anywhere, that's going from strength to strength,

but because Navarra FM is doing what a lot of podcasts are doing and switching to video.

There'll still be audio, there'll still be the same kind of conversation in your podcast feed every week.

It'll just also be on YouTube, where it's easier to find podcasts.

And it will have a new name.

But much like a certain new left-wing party, we just haven't decided what that is yet.

This week I spoke to Aaron Bostani, Ash Sarka and James Butler, all of whom have hosted Navar

FM over the years, along with Rivka Brown and Ellen the Penny.

We've spoken collectively to hundreds of people, David Graber, Ruth Wilson Gilmore, Amy

Goodman, Pankaj Mishra, Sarah Schulman, Andreas Maum,

Harry Kunzru and Oli Femme O Tewo, and many, many more besides.

This episode is about the last 15 years.

What has changed over the course of one of the most dramatic decades and a half in world

history? What has remained stubbornly, sometimes maddeningly the same throughout the whole thing.

From the student movement and the London riots to Brexit and the rise of the new far right,

to Corbinism in its demise, to a global pandemic,

and the genocide in Gaza, and now the new left party in the UK, Navarra FM has been there

...
