Does the British Left need a new political party?

Since the general election last year, there have been increasingly many discussions

across the left about that topic, discussions

that we're now bringing out into the open here on Navarra FM, with me, Rich Thames.

It can often seem like everything has to be decided before anything can.

There's the question of leadership, that's the question of constituency, there's the question

of what the party would stand

for, whether or not it would contest elections, of how democratic exactly it should be, and many

more questions besides. To wrestle with these knotty complexities, I've assembled a crack

team of organisers and thinkers with very different positions on this to talk it through.

Joe Todd is a founder of new organizations extraordinaire and the former head of comms at Momentum.

Rachel Godfrey Wood is still a lead organizer at Momentum, working inside the Labour Party.

Oliver Eagleton is the author of the Star-Army project, and one the organisers of the party time discussions that kicked off this whole shebang.

And the discussion isn't over.
