Welcome to Part 2 of the discussion on Navar FM about whether or not we need a new left party.

On the first episode of this series, we spoke to Rachel Godfrey Wood, an advocate for staying in the day party,

to Oliver Eagleton, an advocate for setting up an entirely new thing, and to Joe Todd, who advocated, like the title of a piece he recently wrote

online, for maybe a party, but definitely an organisation. If you haven't heard that already,

it's a great place to start. In this episode, we're going to develop the idea of a new party

a little bit further. Who would it speak to? Would it be democratic and in what

ways? And what could it meaningfully hope to achieve in the volatile terrain of British politics?

James Schneider, who was Jeremy Corbyn's director of Combs, sets that all out for us here.

But we can be even more specific about what a socialist party equipped with the policies to navigate

the storms of the near future would look like.

That is because it already exists.

At least, that's the position taken by Zach Polanski.

He's the deputy leader of the Green Party of England and Wales.

And as you might expect, a strong advocate for the position we touched on in the previous episode.

Really, that we should all just join the grins.
