What are we listening to then?

Apart from the sadly unavoidable roar of the wind, that was the sound of activists from

just stop oil being very nearly run over by a coach they are standing and at one point sitting in

front of. The activists moments before have salved forth into the road on the ferry bridge crossing

that connects Weymeth in Dorset to the small town of Portland and have stopped the traffic.

Car by car they then let the traffic through to focus on just the coach and a single car

in front of it. But there is a major difference here from other similar actions by just stop oil.

This, after all, was no ordinary coach. It was carrying a busload of migrants from a hotel in

Exmouth where they had been kept onto the B. Stockholm, a converted barge designed to hold migrants

in conditions just stop oil, says a tantamount to a concentration camp. And Portland is therefore

no ordinary town, or perhaps an all-too ordinary one. It's a site of one of the most

conspicuously brutal parts of the UK's current migration politics. But what is just stop oil?
