We are talking about the Notre Dame Syracuse matchup.

More specifically, we're talking about what's at stake for this one.

And when you have the conversation with it, I mean, look, Notre Dame can't impress the committee with who they beat in these next two games.

Syracuse and Stanford are just not good.

Stanford, we'll talk more about their season in Part 3 today's show,

and we take an overview look at their program specifically.

But look, they've lost six straight games.

They have yet to score 20 points in any of those six losses.

They're struggling right now.

And Stanford, as we predicted them to be, is one of the worst teams in Division I,

unfortunately for them.

So you're not going to have any win notoriety for who you beat.

It's been what we've been talking about all really since the buy.

After they beat USC, it's the how.

It's how you beat team start to matter.

And that's what's really, really at stake here for Notre Dame.

When you talk about, you know, big picture what's at stake for this team.

Yeah, I mean, that's kind of where it starts, Trev. These last two games are not about who you beat. They're how you beat them. It's really as simple as that. And there's some other things we're going to talk about that are more Notre Dame specific about how they can improve as a team and get better and stuff like that, because you can do things as a team to improve over the next couple weeks. And sometimes these are the exact games that you want to do that because you get into a little bit of rhythm. You start building some confidence and some things work. But when it comes to like the college football playoff committee, it's not going to be about, oh, they beat Syracuse. Oh, good stuff. Or hey, they beat Stanford. They gave Stanford only their second home

loss of the season or something like that. I think, did they have a second home loss now? They lost to another team at home recently, didn't they? Did they, was Pitt the first team that beat them at home? Is that the only home loss they have so far this year? I think so.

Yeah, because they lost North Carolina on the road.

For some reason, I was thinking that the Miami game was at home as well.
