We got to watch Notre Dame's first spring practice earlier today. Brian and I and Vince were up top. Angela was down, taking some photo and video. and before we dive too much into it,

Gideon Rosa was out helping out. It was cool to see him today as well.

Newest member of Irish Breakdown. Yeah. So he's going to be doing some video for us this year,

which was awesome to see. Very awesome to see. Yeah. It was great to see him. I had to see him since the Texas A&M tailgate. So it was awesome to be in there. And it was cool to see him. But today, folks, we have a lot to cover. And we're going to be talking about Notre Dame's first spring practice. And we're really separating this into two different buckets. Part one of today's show we're going to be talking about the offense. A lot of good things, a lot of new things that we saw. We confirmed a lot of

things that we had heard and things that we believe that we were going to see. And then in part

two today show, we're going to be talking about the defense and what we saw from them. Impressions,

that's the side of the ball with the most new coaches. So lots of takeaways there. And then we're going to wrap everything up today.

Junior day is actually happening tomorrow. And we're going to be giving a recruiting preview to some of just the high octane guys that are going to be on campus this weekend. So, Brian, I'm ready to dive into this thing. Man, we saw a lot of good today. A lot of good. Yeah, it was fun. I mean, just mean just big picture treb the first thing you notice is

somebody asked me on the the board i'm gonna try to pull up the question but somebody said how

how um you know basically how how pumped we are and i my my answer is basically like

more pumped even than I was yesterday.

Let me find my answer because I'm guessing, let me see here.

How pumped are you for this team is the question?

And I said, more pumped than I was yesterday.

We had high hopes for this football team coming in.

And I would say that I'm even like one day, right, one practice. And I don't want to spend the next two hours talking about, you know, qualifiers of just one practice. We all understand it's just one practice, right? But from that one practice, I mean, this team was better than I thought they were going to be in a lot of different ways, not just, you know, and then, and then also not even that's just that they're better in certain areas, but like just seeing the offensive line now move together, like we've envisioned what we hope it could be, but now to see it. And, you know, you think that Tay Johnson has a chance to be better than he was last year, and you see him do it in one practice. You know, you think, well, I think CJ is going to probably be a little stronger this year. And then you see the zip coming. So just things that we thought we'd see that got confirmed, but then there's some other areas where it's like, okay, the freshman DB class is every bit as good as advertised, but y'all probably won't guess who the best one was today.

You know what I mean?

And I'll just say it like Joey O'Brien was really good today.

That ain't the answer.

So it's going to be fun to talk about all this, Trev.

But, you know, we were talking about how excited we were about the receivers.

We'll get into that.
