It is Wednesday. We are now four days away from Notre Dame kicking off their 2025 season down in Miami Gardens against the hurricanes.

Brian, yesterday we took a look at just kind of this matchup big picture. Today, we're going to sit down and break down these matchups on either side of the football. We're going to start off today's show by talking Notre Dame offense versus Miami defense. Part two of today's show, we're going to be talking Notre Dame defense versus the Miami offense. And then we're going to round out today with a mailbag. So, folks, be sure to get your mailbag questions in. But Brian, when we look at this matchup, one, huge implications with this one. We went through and talked big picture yesterday, top 10 matchup to kick off the season. Notre Dame hasn't beaten a top 10 team on the road since October of 2012 when they went down to Norman and beat the Sooners, which is crazy to think about. But that's the opportunity in front of them. Today we're going to talk about how do they get that done?

What are the things that Notre Dame will have to do? Where are the areas that they're going to have to win on offense and defense to make sure that they fly back to South Bend with a W? Yeah, I mean, it's about diving into the matchup and saying, okay, this is who Miami is, this is who Notre Dame is. Here's where they're good at. here's where Notre Dame is good at.

And obviously tomorrow we'll have keys to victory and we'll dive into that.

We'll talk game records tomorrow so we're

going to break that up a little bit but this is a really intriguing matchup Trevor and I'm I'm excited for

us to finally be able to actually dive into the particulars of this matchup you know spent

last night today diving into the film, looking at some Minnesota

stuff, some Miami stuff.

And what you have is you have a matchup between two talented teams that I think are

going to be too well-coached teams from a coordinator standpoint.

And, you know, obviously we've talked a lot about Mario crystal ball and all these other type of things

but you know look janet dawson did a great job last year at miami leading the number one ranked

off in the country and cori hetherman did a tremendous job you know rebuilding a Minnesota defense

that had fallen on hard times the year before and and he was able to get them back on track and allowed them to play really strong football

and be one of the better defenses in the Big Ten.

And so he comes over to repair a defense that wasn't very good last year in the league.

But, yeah, the number four defense in the Big Ten last year and he took over a team that

the year before ranked 10th in the Big Ten in scoring defense. So it's going to be a great battle between, you know,

I believe two well-coached teams, two talented teams, and you're going to have to weather the storm
