We're going to be talking Notre Dame's defense versus Miami's offense.

Now, again, keys to victory, you know, key players, things like that is going to be on tomorrow's show.

Today, what we're doing is we're looking at just these matchups as a whole, looking at it from the Notre Dame perspective

and the Miami perspective.

And when we start talking about this, this is a very intriguing matchup, Brian, because

we're talking about opposed to what we said on the offensive side of the ball.

We're talking about the two perceived strengths of what these teams were in 2024.

Last season, we know how high powered of an offense Miami.

And obviously last year, we know how high powered and how strong of a defense Notre Dame.

So I know we're getting ready to dive into the stats here in just a minute.

But when we look at this matchup as a whole, these are the two perceived strengths of each team going into this

matchup.

You're spot on.

It's the polar opposite of what we just talked about on the outside of the ball, where there's

questions on offense and there's questions on defense.

The only questions in this matchup are some new faces, but the expectation is that these are still going to be two dominant units. And, and, you know, when you look at the numbers from last year, Trev, it speaks to that. You know, Notre Dame's offense last year, for example, just pull those numbers back up. This is the Notreain offense from last year, just to make a point.

Like, yeah, they did well scoring. They finished the top 10 in the country and scoring, but they were 55th and yards, 27th in yards per play, 101st in passing yards. Like, they did what they needed to do, thanks to the defense and special teams, they were able to get the job done. I think it wasn't really about, like five defensive touchdowns last year.

When you look at this matchup, Trev, this is two top five units. I mean, there's a lot of single digit rankings for both of these teams. There's a lot of top 10 to 15 rankings for both of these teams.
