Topic for today, ladies and gentlemen, is recruiting.

And where we're going to start is the commitment of Aiden O'Neill, a defense event from New Jersey.

We're going to break down his commitment that happened earlier this morning.

Champ Mons at some point this afternoon during the Pat McAfee show is going to make his decision where he's going to go between Ohio State, Florida State, and obviously Notre Dame.

In between that, we're going to be given a kind of an overall state of the union, but how things are going on Notre Dame on the recruiting trailer.

And then we're going to wrap everything up with a daily mailbag. I guess I could have called it a Friday free for all mailbag today, but a daily mailbag dedicated to recruiting. So Brian, a really, really fun way to end this week.

Yeah, it's been a, it's been a kind of a heck the crazy week, Trev.

You know, there's just been a lot of things going on. And this is obviously a big thing today talking about these one commitment and one potential commitment and talking a little bit of recruiting. And we had this plan laid out of we're going to do this on Wednesday and this on Thursday and this on Friday. and we got one of those shows in. That was quarterback yesterday. So that's the nature of recruiting at a big time

program like Notre Dame. It's going to throw off your schedule a little bit. And you know what?

It's the kind of throw off of your schedule that I absolutely love. And I'm all about this kind of thing,

Trevin. We'll kick things off with the Aden O'Neill commitment.

And Charlie Partridge is on the board, ladies and gentlemen.

Obviously, we've talked about Coach Aaron Henry.

He's got a couple commitments so far.

Now Charlie Partridge strikes first.

He goes to the Northeast and lands a really talented football player from New Jersey.

He does, man. And it's good to see this new defensive coaching staff kind of kick off their journey on the recruiting trail in a hot way. And, you know, Aiden O'Neill, he's a 2027 defensive end from Ramsey, New Jersey. He goes to Don Bosco Prep. He's 6'5. He's 250 pounds. He's a consensus four-star recruit. I mean, if there's going to be a way to get you on the board, this is a strong way to start, man. This is a talented football player. No, it is. And look, we talk a lot about stacking classes. You need to stack classes. You need to stack classes. And one position we've talked about in the past where Notre Dame has not really done a good job of stacking classes is defensive end.

Now, you look at the current roster, you can say, boy, it's pretty talented, you know, and you got Bubba Karori, you got Bryce Young. You've got, you know, this, you know, the freshman, Rodney Dunham, Ebeney Zatat, you got Keonkele. but it hasn't been the same level of just big time recruiting like we've seen it corner
