All right, Brian, on the final part of today's show here on the Irish Breakdown podcast brought to you by Fandul.

We're talking keys to victory for the Notre Dame defense.

And again, like it is every week, this is the hot topic of discussion, especially when you factor in.

They're going against the third-ranked scoring offense in the country, the second-ranked total yards offense in the country, and the first-rank in the country in yours per day. All those areas where I talk about how good Notre Dame is, USC is either right ahead of them or right below them. And yes, they are very good on offense. Like my point earlier in the show, Trevor, was not to say like USC's offense is overrated. No, they are a legitimately elite offense so far this year. I just think Notre Dame is as good or better. And they got to play like it. And from a USC standpoint, if they're going to win this game, they need their offense to play like it, which means for Notre Dame, you need to make sure that they don't, they just need to be, make them look like just a good offense. Do that and you win the game.

If they look like an elite offense for 60 minutes, then you may not win the game.

This is one of those games where, and again, I'm not saying that my expectation is this,

and I'm not saying that I hope that this happens.

But these are one of the games where I'm not going in expecting this defense to hold USC's

offense to seven points.

And that's a relatively good spot to be in because, you know, when they face Boise

State's offense and NC State's offense to a degree, you know, I wasn't expecting the

performance against Arkansas.

But the expectation was, hey, you need to look like what you need to look like for when USC comes to town.

It's all relative.

So the expectation isn't that Notre Dame's defense holds this USC offense to seven points.

If they do, we're going to have a heck of a time on the post game.

But the expectation is you have to do your job.

If they hold USC to seven points or less, I will dance on the post game show.
