Here at Irish Breakdown, you guys know what we like to do on Thursdays.

It is keys to victory, game predictions, game wreckers, and then we're going to tie a bow on everything and talk about some other games going on across the country in college football. But, Brian, Notre Dame takes on the Purdue Boilermakers this Saturday at 3.30 inside of Notre Dame Stadium. And this is plain and simply a get right game. And they find themselves in a similar spot that they did last year, come off of a gut-wrenching loss at home.

You go on and play the Purdue Boilermakers in an in-state rivalry game. So this is another big matchup for Notre Dame. A little bit different implications. We're going to dive into that, but you guys know how we get down here. Talking Keys to Victory on Offensive Part 1, then we're going to get into Keys to Victory on Defense. and then the following part after that, we're going to be talking about our predictions. We are going to give how we think the game is going to play out, final score predictions. And we're also going to talk game wreckers on offensive defense as well. Brian, I'm ready to dive into this, man. Like you and I were talking about before the show, I'm ready to watch one go through the hoop. Notre Dame's got to come away with a victory this weekend. And that's the big thing. You know, Trevor, we're going to spend a lot of time talking about the keys of victory and our game predictions. And look, this is a week that's not about Purdue. Like, it's not about Purdue at all. And I mean no disrespect to Purdue because I think what, you know, what, what Barry Odom's done even in a very short

period of time, they look so much different than last year, so much different than last year.

I mean, like what we saw last year is just, it's, this team looks nothing like it.

Kind of like how Notre Dame looks nothing like the team they were last year, but for different

reasons.

This is in a positive way for them, but at the same time, Trev, it's still very much a

situation where they're still not in the same league as Notre Dame. This game should not be

close. If this game's closed at the end of the day, this is going to be a long year, like a

very long year. This is one of still still with everything going on, still one of the

four bottom teams on your schedule. And if you can't win this one with some convincingness,

and I don't care if they struggle for a half and then figured out, I think back to the game after

Georgia in 2017, you know, where the team kind of came out. They were a little, you know, like down about what happened. They just, it took them about a half to kind of get their footing against Boston College. And then the second half, just steamrolled Boston College and then went on a nice roll for a couple months. Even if it's that, I'm good. Like they just, we just have to see this team turn the corner. On offense, it's some tweaks and adjustments.

On defense, it's a blood transfusion.

I mean, it is a complete overhaul.

You know, like it's, if you ever seen a movie Face Off?

Oh, it's a great movie with John Travolta and Nicholas Cage.

You got to watch it.
