I think it would be awesome if the Heisman gave an offensive and a defensive trophy.

I want to see defensive players get more recognition or some two-way players get both trophies.

I would never want a guy to get the same trophy on both sides of the ball because the odds of a guy being the best playing a country on both sides of the ball is slim to none. Very slim. Yeah. You can make a case last year that Travis Hunter was neither the best cornerback nor the best receiver in college football. I agree. Be accurate on that. Yeah. But what made him special was he was so good at both. Correct. So I have no problem with him winning that award. I honestly don't think that you should, I don't have a desire to give a second Heisman out to a defensive player. I would just say if you want to do something like that, just turn Heisman into an offensive award and then start doing what they're trying to do,

which has turned the Nogerski into as big of a deal for the is for defense. And like when Xavier

Watts won it, it's like it's the best defensive player or something like that. That's what I would do is

just hype up another award. But the Heisman Trophy's always been a go to anybody. It's primarily been an

offensive award. So I would just, I would just say again, instead of doing that, just just hold

voters to a higher standard and change your criteria to where you're actually getting the best

player, not what we have now, which is pretty much just the best quarterback, maybe receiver or a running back for one of the best teams in the country. And there's very few exceptions for that. Travis Hunter was one because he was such a unicorn with what he did. And then if he didn't win it, it would have been Ashton Genty. And they were both outside the norm. But normally it's, I mean, we know what it normally is.

So just change your criteria and hold voters to a higher standard.

When people do silly things and with their votes, be willing to take those votes away.

Just find more football, people that know football that are part of this voting process

and have more clear, defined terms of what you're looking for. I'd say just fix it. Don't just, like, too often when something's broken, we'd say, well, let's just do something different. No, fix it. It's a great award. It used to mean, it used to mean so much. Yeah, yeah. I mean, I used to always watch the Heisman trophy ceremony.
