Thoughts on Angelie's new wide receiver one target, Jonte Cook, the second.

I don't know if I'm ready to chalk Jontay Cook up to being their number one target.

I think he's the most physically gifted receiver the minute he shows up on campus.

But, like, dude, there's a reason

that Jontay Cook hasn't done anything in college so far. And his success at Syracuse is going

to be determined by whether or not he makes those corrections. If he makes those corrections,

I think he's a great weapon for Steve because he's a

vertical guy. And, you know, one thing I was in a conversation somebody the other day about Steve,

and they were talking about he just won't push the ball down the field. And I said, well,

kind of, if it's his primary read, Steve does a really nice deep ball. It's a really nice

deep ball. It's when he gets into situations where it's not as, it's not the primary read.

It's not the one-on-one.

That's when he tends to get into a little bit of trouble.

And if he gets away, if he gets back to kind of like just, hey, we're

running a post route here. And the Syracuse offense has relatively like basic reads. It's not a

super complex offense. He's a guy that can make plays in space. Trevi, I mean, you watch Trevor

Pena's film and he catches about 95,000 crossing routes. I mean, Jontekook's the kind of guy you want to get in space with some crossing routes. And so I think those are things where, where if he's got, if his attitude is where it needs to be, if his work ethic is where it needs to be, this will be a great pickup for them.

But that's a, you know, I need to see it before I believe it's going to be there type of thing.

But physically, he's very talented. Yeah, plain and simple for me, I love the football ability.

But you got to be able to be eligible to showcase your football playing ability.

That's my biggest thing with Jante Cook.
