We have some questions here from

Notre Dame fans. If you're a Miami fan or anybody else and you want to ask a question, go

and ask it. Just make sure that you don't act like a knucklehead. Ask a legitimate question,

and we'll talk about it. But we did have some questions that we want to get to out of a super

chat from Tom Connor. Tom, thank you so much for your super chat. And Tom's question is, will CJ Carr be calling

line protection or Ashton Craig? Brian, I would assume it's going to be a little bit of both.

I mean, I would assume that CJ Carr is going to have to set the protection to a degree

because he can see things that the center can't see. But I think the center will have the ability to have some parts of that conversation as well. Like, hey, he'll make some line checks. He'll make some checks in there as well. The reason that I say that the quarterback should always be involved in it, it's, I understand the need to say, hey, look, let your center call it, but your quarterback has to see it. And he has to understand it. And if he can't recognize why you're setting the protection here, then he's not going to know, okay, who am I throwing hot off of or who can we not block? Because every time you pass, pro, there's a scenario where they're going to bring

somebody you can't block if i got seven blocks and they blitz eight i got to know who we can't

block and i'm either move away from him throw off of him throw to my hot do whatever you have to

understand that protection so i think to me that's part of being the starting quarterback is i

can get a protection set that also but that doesn't mean that your center can have some communication with him

or make some checks where he may make a signal or do something that says,

hey, I'm going to help you get the line protection set.

So I don't know the answer to this, Tom,

but I would assume that CJ Carr is still certainly going to have a role

in setting protection in this game.

because if the quarterback doesn't know why or what's being set,

then it's going to be a problem.
