And I know we talked about what ours were before the show started.

It's going to be another really fun conversation.

But when you start talking defense, obviously we know how this year started

out. They got better as the season went on. 26 is going to be a big year for this group,

Brian. So when you talk about your wish list for this group heading into next season, where do you

start? The guy in charge. My Christmas wish list for 2026 for, excuse me, Christmas

2025 is that over the next year, Chris Ash, and you're in plus, that Chris Ash, the

we saw in the second half of the year is the Chris Ash that we'll see all the time.

That it's not a Chris Ash that's waiting in the weeds to try to do more of his stuff.

We see a Chris Ash who embraces the value that the rest of the coaching staff brings at the table.

We see a Chris Ash that understands the need to have a player-driven defensive system,

not a coach-driven defensive system, that we see a Chris Ash who understands the value in being a disruptive,

athletic, aggressive attacking defense.

We see a Chris Ash that embraces, even though I don't get as much credit for calling more man than zone, that's going to be more successful with this makeup of players.

And I'm willing to turn over some of the credit to, hey, look how great Leonard Mores, not look

how smart Chris Ash is. Those are all things that are on my Christmas wish list.

This defense cannot reach its full potential if Chris Ash isn't committed to

making this a player-driven deal and not a Chris Ash-driven deal.

And honestly, part of that's on Marcus Freeman.

If you want to get the most out of this 20, 2016, you can't wait until it's too late to step in and make changes.
