As a practice note, something to practice with this morning as you do the walking and the other

meditation, something to consider is of course that mindfulness practice is to be mindful

of what we're experiencing sometimes we focus on the breath it can be focus on the breath. It can be the body as a whole, it can be sound,

it can be whatever. We could be shifting towards whatever is compelling.

But I'd like to offer something that's a little bit different

than what we often talk about,

and turns out to be immensely powerful.

And that is to pay attention to all the subtle ways and not so subtle ways and we're saying no I don't want this go

away I wish it weren't like this there There's got to be something better.

J, this again? There's so many ways in which this turns up with just like so many of our

experiences the temperature isn't quite right. It needs to be warmer, it needs to be cooler,

or it's too loud, it's too quiet.

So often we're meeting all of our experiences this way, and then we bring mindfulness to them. So my offering this

morning is to just get curious what are the different ways in which there's some resistance

different ways there's a sense of no I I wish it were different can this please

change something like this and often this is really subtle?

This can just be maybe like a tightness in the chest or it could be like a clenching of the jaw or maybe if

walking walking with a little bit more force. It often shows up in the body. The mind it's really fast. No, I don't want it.
