When we think about the Beatles, there is one date that stands out above all others.

And I think we can all agree that date is August the 23rd.

We all celebrate August the 23rd as a beetle fan.

And it's a magical day, isn't it, Stephen?

It is a magical day. It's Beetle Day. It is Beatle fan, and it's a magical day, isn't it, Stephen? It is a magical day. It's Beatle Day.

It is Beatle Day. And what we are trying to do is it's always interesting how the Beatles

changed so quickly year on year, you know, that the progression that they made.

But the question we were kind of asking ourselves was, is there a date across all the years of the 60s that

seems to be a significant one in Beatle history? Yes, and I tasked you with the job of finding that

date. And I have tasked myself and responded by saying, I think the date is August the 23rd.

It had better be August the 23rd. Well, you know, a few years ago, did our Beatles at Christmas episodes and that's a nice way of kind of packaging up their yearly work.

But August the 23rd, when you pull it apart, so many fascinating things happen in and around and on August the 23rd.

So our plan is across these episodes is to look at August the 23rd and do little

Beatles snapshots. One episode for each year. Well, there are certain topics that do pop up and

you could easily spend an hour talking on them. So I guess that's the whole point, isn't it?

So what we're going to do is we're going to look at August the 23rd from 1960 to 1969

and see where the Beatles were at.
