In 1972 John Lennon entered a New York studio to record the follow-up to his transatlantic chart-topping ‘Imagine’ album.

With him were Yoko Ono, Phil Spector, and the Plastic Ono Elephants Memory Band. Things would never be quite the same again.

1:03.3	Absolutely. New York, a hotbed of recording, hotbed of sessioners,
1:07.5	you know, the magnificent album called Checks Notes Ram has been recorded in New York.
1:12.0	You can really get the crem de la creme there.
1:14.3	Yes, yes.
