And this is part three of our look at Hey Jude.

And maybe finally Stephen will actually get on to the song Hey Jude.

If you've been paying attention so far, part one, we looked at the road to Hey Jude,

which was the

disintegration of the relationship between john and cynthia in part two we kind of looked at how

that separation played out in the press and provoked paul into writing a song that he identified

as being something a little bit special as he played it to everybody

who would listen. And now we've reached part three where we're going to look at the song itself

and the Beatles first bring the song into existence when they specifically do rehearsals,

not particular, it's not really identified as recording. They are rehearsals for two nights,

the 29th and 30th of July,

1968 in EMI Studios, Abbey Road.

And they do, I think,

25 takes across the two days.

Is that right?

That's right.
