Why go to therapy?

Because it's divine work.

When you are emotionally healthy, you are more powerful, spiritually.

Hey everybody, welcome back.

I am still so excited to be back with you all

and could not be more grateful to Bishop Jakes

for joining us last week for the kickoff of season 3.

He certainly set the tone for us to move forward by giving us some incredible big picture

lessons. One that I hope resonated strongly with you was when he

challenged us to be engaged with the word of God by feeling into the text.

To lean into the scriptures and place ourselves within the stories we are reading,

not just to feel the thrill of victory or the joy of a promise fulfilled,

but to connect with and experience the pain and the suffering and the confusion and the distress that our heroes of faith endured.

Hebrew Chapter 11 is a phenomenal place to start trying this.

In it we are reminded of miracle after miracle,

and reading those verses fills us up with that hope which is the substance of

faith. We are inspired to keep going right? Hebrew 11 tells us that by faith

Noah built an arc and became an air of righteousness and that by faith

Abraham Isaac and Jacob became heirs of promise. By faith Sarah conceived in her old age.
