Hey, hey, hey, how are you doing? Welcome back to In The Light. This is Dr. Anita and I am so glad that you are here. We have an incredible episode today, but as always let us first reflect on the gems we received in the last episode.

I'm very intentional about always reflecting on where we've come from in our conversation because there's so much

information available to us, so much insight available to us, and we can be gleaning it from all

different places,

but if we're not careful to slow down

and connect the different pieces of wisdom

that we're gleaning and then apply them,

it's a waste. And I don't want you to waste a thing.

Pastor Don Chary Wilkerson rolled up in here last week with her smooth Louisiana draw and

dropped all kinds of bombs on us. She taught us about

waiting and that when we are waiting we need to actually wait as in stay

present in the moment where you are without borrowing fear from the future.

She told us that that kind of waiting transforms us because we learn to trust God on a whole new level.

That felt so relevant for me personally because right now there are a few things I'm waiting

on. I am dying to know how a couple of stories in my life are going to unfold.

You know, sometimes we're waiting in a painful place, as Don Chary talked about on her journey

through infertility but there are other times when the waiting isn't about the

resolution of pain sometimes I'm waiting for something I expect to be good and the suspense is

killing me and right now I am in that space wondering how a couple of

storylines are going to turn out. My daily goal right now is not to allow fear and anxiety to get in the way of and steal the

happy Christmas morning type of anticipation that I want to be experiencing.

I'm so often tempted to exchange those butterflies for anxiety just because I hate not knowing everything about what's coming next.
