The reason we're told by new Justice Department bosses has nothing to do with the charges against the mayor or the strength of the prosecution's evidence. Why would those trifling concerns matter?

Rather, new DOJ-Hancho email Beauvais, who I should say is a friend and former colleague of

mine at the Southern District of New York, well, Bovet instructed the SDNY in a disjointed letter to dump the case

based on a madcap blend of conspiracy theories, claims of political persecution, and good old-fashioned

illogic. Now, as a reminder, the Adams indictment, which dropped in September 2024,

charges him with federal crimes including conspiracy, bribery, and solicitation of foreign
