Afternoon, Duane and Tankroom Bible Talk.

Several years ago, I made a lot of years ago.

I was a young man and my wife and I had three small children.

And we were getting ready to go to Papua New Guinea to do some teaching.

And like I said, I was young and I was excited and I was energetic and I was vigorous and

and I was naive.

And we were in Texas and there was several folks, several churches around there

that were excited about what we were, that we were embarking on.

And one of the churches of a, one of the pastors

of a large church in North Fort Worth,

um, it was all excited and he was all encouraging.

And he said, Duane, I want you to come up and present to my church

what you guys are fixing to do.

We, uh, we're gonna wanna be a part of this

and we're gonna support you.

I think this is wonderful.

And I said, okay.

And so he set a date.

We scheduled a date.

And I showed up up there.

And he wasn't there.

And he hadn't told anybody that I was coming.
