Here's an easy and fun experiment you can do if you're an undergrad in psych or if you want to get

published in the Journal of Wine Economics, which is owned by the Cambridge University Press.

What you can do is assemble a bunch of wine lovers,

some Somoie's, people who are used to spending a lot of money on wine.

And then you can do a blind taste test. In one glass put a $10 bottle of wine and in another a glass from a hundred dollar bottle of wine. Well this study has been done and it

has shown definitively that people prefer in a double blind study, $10 bottles of wine.

After people see these results, of course,

they continue to buy the wine they used to buy. Hey, it's Arove.

Years ago, I was waiting for a flight from Springfield, Illinois back to New York on United Airlines.

Even though Springfield is the capital of Illinois, it's not a particularly busy route.

And so the planes that fly are fairly small.

The woman in front of me waiting to check in says to the person at the counter, I'm here to check

in for the flight. I am flying first class. And the person behind the counter seemed sort of

puzzled because the plane only had 16 or 24 seats in it and there

were no first class seats.

There were never first class seats and the woman kindly began to explain that.

This caused the passenger to get very upset.

She started to hyperventilate.

She started to yell.

She has agoraphobia, aquaphobia, fear of flying, fear of small places, claustrophobia, every

phobia, and she was told it was a first-class seat, she needs a first- class seat, and she's going to get a first
