| 0:54.5 | Hey, what's going on guys? Welcome back to the Dreamerskept Fitness Podcast and Radio Show coming to you on this Sunday afternoon here real quick. For an IGTV, welcome, YouTubers, welcome. We're filming a lot of these now, so if you guys are watching, glad to have you here. At my podcast, peeps, I want to keep this quick. I posted the other day on Instagram on the main feed. I went out on our Facebook, Twitter, on our email list as well. If you guys want to be included on that, hit me up. I'm happy to add you. We sent it a lot of free content that hopefully provides value for you. And the question I had posed was, are you happy with your life? Or the way I phrased it was, not happy with your life question mark. And it's really simple to me. And maybe because I'm not that smart and not that bright, I figured a lot of these things out over trial and error. And again, I don't speak on things. I don't know about you guys. And when I was, you know, years ago at my rock bottom, you know, sick and broken and ready to just kind of fucking quit, you know, life, honestly. |
| 0:58.5 | And I didn't know what my life would look like if I kept going. |
| 1:03.3 | I had a, you know, kind of a come-to-life moment where I reverse engineering and everything of what was going to make me the happiest, what was going to bring me the most fulfillment |
| 1:07.6 | and the most success. |
| 1:08.5 | And to me, success and happiness are directly |
| 1:12.7 | tied together. Excuse me, they're one and the same. I believe that. I believe they mirror each other. |
| 1:18.6 | And to me, I don't think you can have, you know, legit true success in life without happiness. |
| 1:22.5 | Now, we are going to measure success in different terms. Some people think it's the degrees you earn |
| 1:26.8 | or the money you make or the shape you're in or whatever it is. To me, it's how happy you are, you know, when you go to sleep and when you wake up every single day. And when I was at, you know, my eating shit moment, as I like to call it, which I've done many times even over the years, it was the simplest things that I found brought me the most happiness that could elevate my life that could change how I thought about myself, how I felt about myself, and the byproduct was I was able to kind of break out of that mold, get out of that funk, and change my life. And I think these things can help you guys do the same. So the first one on my list, if you're not happy with your life, what I would do is I would exercise more. And I've talked about this just the other day. I think the gift of movement is something that a lot of us in America take for granted. We don't do it enough to run, to jump, to skip, to just use your body for the beautiful machine that it is. And more often than that, if you can do something basic, like going to walk with your husband or wife, walk your dog, play with your kids, join a group of people, a community where you can sweat, you can, you know, you're competitive in a non-competitive environment, but they're lifting you up, you're having fun. And more often than not, like the chemical release of that, in the sense of accomplishment you get from, you know, improving your physical body is one of the things that makes me the person I am. And I think you can do the same thing for you guys. We've seen it. We've seen people walk in, you know, depressed, sad, their posture sucks. They're frumpy as hell. They just, they have no life in them. And they're three months later and they're like, they were transformed human because they feel better about how they look and they move and it's just |
| 2:50.9 | change the scope of their life so for me movement and exercising more is key the |
| 2:54.4 | second one I think you guys have to help more people and I'm not saying this you |
| 2:59.2 | have to work in the service industry I'm not saying you have to build like a |
| 3:02.0 | personal brand I just think helping people you can it does way more for you |
| 3:07.1 | than it does for them. |
| 3:08.7 | You know, whether that's donating your time, which to me is the most precious commodity next to your health you can have because it's not a renewable resource. |
| 3:16.2 | Once your time is gone, it's gone. |
| 3:17.9 | So if that's donating your time to, you know, underserved youth, you know, to the older folks communities, if it's cleaning up a park, |
| 3:24.6 | if it's literally just hanging out with friends and reaching out to people you haven't in a while and doing something for them. It's simple as this sounds, giving your grandma a fucking phone call, which nobody does these days, like calling your grandma, calling your relatives, your parents, the people who matter to you, and just reaching out to them, it's going to do a lot more for you selfishly on the back end than it does for them it's like when we do adoptive |
| 3:24.2 | family's like when we do adoptive families, like we're on Christmas time and we're these very, very underprivileged communities, yeah, it does change their life and you can see the joy in their face, but me seeing that reaction does something to me that almost nothing else can do and that's just me giving that's it my time |
| 3:59.2 | my money and my efforts to change their lives but selfishly the amount of gratitude that gives me |
| 4:04.4 | makes me a different person i'll talk on that later on here next one you guys i think you have to |
| 4:08.7 | get better sleep i really do we just did a podcast on sleep um you know being tired exhausted |
