I hope today's episode brings you some relief because in life we are

sold a funny bill of goods sometimes.

Look at commercials, look at social media, right?

Part of us is led to believe that everything has to be epic like epic and

epic and exciting and I mean I kind of want to say perfect but I don't want to get into perfectionism today

I mean this feeling that we can carry sometimes that everything has to be Special everything has to be special,

everything has to be unique, everything has to be standout.

What do I mean by that?

A few things.

Sometimes we think our outfit, for example, has to be

perfect, especially if we're going somewhere that feels important or fun for us. Maybe we think meals that we have to create

have to be epic, have to be wildly delicious and have everyone wanting more.

Sometimes we even I think and have everyone wanting more.

Sometimes we even, I think, put pressure on gatherings with friends, with colleagues, with family thinking,

unless we've made memories,

or laugh till we cried or the setting, unless the setting was absolutely

perfect with this sunset backdrop, it wasn't epic and therefore it wasn't good enough it wasn't meaningful. I had this thought

actually when I went out for dinner with two women who I haven't seen in a long

time and we had to meet pretty early because one was catching a flight that night and we got together it was fun.

We of course exchanged loads of information on each other's lives, got the updates.
