Okay, so if you're in self-coaching society, you'll know that we love to do rejection challenges,

we make ourselves uncomfortable on purpose, to realize how wide the world is and how much is available to us and we watch just the results flow as we

embrace what most people are never willing to and never getting results most people never will. So I want to tell you about a little

rejection challenge I gave myself in Paris. Heath and I was sitting out at a restaurant

called Chezjanu, which is a very cute little French bistro.

It's very, very popular.

And we were sitting outside in the sun and a lady came up who was, I don't want to say she was rude, but she was abrupt, let's say, with the waiter as she was asking for a table.

I don't know if she was just naturally cut or if she was in a bad mood but she was one of those people that you don't necessarily want to chat to because she looked a little scary.

Anyway, they ended up sitting next to us, and because the weather was, you know, April weather, sometimes

warm in the sun, cold in the shade, they often put blankets on the back of chairs. And I said to Heath, I'm going to ask this woman in French if I can have her blanket. And he's like, are you sure you want to ask her? And I said, yes, I want to ask her because she's the one who's probably most likely

to say no or maybe be a bit snappy I'm not sure but I am willing to experience that, always testing and growing my confidence, right?

seeing how willing I am to be uncomfortable.

So, I asked her in French very nicely if she wasn't using the blanket could I use it.

And she said, ah, yes, yes, and she gave it to me.

And then we struck up a little conversation.

Her and the man that she was with didn't speak English.

Our French is limited.

But what was so interesting was the pleasant encounter that we had with this couple that I would say,

maybe in their 60s.

Her name was Virginia, his name was Al-M, and we got chatting a bit about the neighborhood, a bit about them,

a bit about how long they've lived in Paris and where we live,. And we had this great conversation. They gave us a couple
