I'm Mike Peska.

Today is a not even mad day, and we are going to be talking about in our third segment,

Cash Patel, the FBI director, the article in the Atlantic, and his lawsuit against that

August magazine.

Now, I was thinking about everything Cash Patel is alleged to have done

and the clear politicization of the FBI, and it is kind of depressing.

But then I remember words that I heard a little while ago,

and they are words of hope. Here, listen to them. Things are bad.

There's no denying it. The FBI has gravely abused its power, threatening not only the rule of law,

but the very foundations of self-government at the root of our democracy. But this isn't the end of the story.

Change is possible at the FBI and desperately

needed. So we must be constantly on guard, instituting reforms, removing wrongdoers, and erecting

guardrails to stop the politicization of the FBI. And so that was Richard Cephalos who said that.

I don't know who Richard Cephalos is, except he's a professional narrator of audiobooks.

And that audiobook was government gangsters, the deep state the truth, and the battle for our democracy by one Cash Pramad Patel.

So I guess according to Cash Patel, he is staying behind closed doors and maybe imbibing a

little too much in order to depoliticize the institution. He was named to head. This was this

book, Government Gangsters, and literally downloaded the audiobook to get to know this Cash Patel before he was even nominated to be in charge of the FBI.

It is a photo negative, funhouse mirror version of what is justice and what is injustice.

And so Cash Patel, I mean, this is not how he would see it, but he would say,
