The trade deadline is swooping towards us.

So we're going to talk now about the Northwest Division

and a team that we thought would be a really interesting trade destination

at the start of the season has now become less so,

but still a team, I would say, I think they're more likely than not

to make some kind of move.

And that is the Portland Trailblazer.

Yeah, the Blazers are the team that Seth,

Part No, San Vicini and I chose to do for our second of these strategic planning

sessions is what we're calling it for the athletic that actually dropped on Wednesday.

And part of the reason we wanted to do them was the idea of how do,

how does Nilo Shay approach this and to lay out the basic groundwork here.

The Blazers are over the cap, they're over the cap,

are sorry, over the tax by 12.6 million, which is a ton for a team that probably is going to make the playoffs.

They have a couple small trade exceptions, but what's unusual about their structure is,

the Blazers, if they let all their guys go other than Rodney Hood and Mario

Zonio player options that we think they're going to pick up is that so if they do all that and then

they keep their draft pick, the Blazers could have about 12.5 million in space.

Alternatively, they could trade Hassan Whiteside, who is an expiring contract,

making about, so about 27 million, or they could and or they could trade

camp baseball is making 19 and get back players who are on longer term.
