Peggy Noonan with a column in the Wall Street Journal today about Joe Biden's different

image for the 2024 election versus the 2020 election.

He's more of a Clinton than a lunch-pale Joe at this point, so it's pretty interesting.

Yeah, I think that's pretty accurate.

So the rise of Trump has been explained by various folks in various ways and those explanations

have ranged from the unspeakably moronic and grossly oversimplified to pretty insightful

at times.

My favorite somebody said that a lot of working America, well, a lot of America period has

got nothing but condescension and judgment from the left and false promises from the right

about globalization.

That sort of thing for instance, that it would do, oh, it's good for everybody.

Yeah, the plant I worked at for 20 years just left.

Anyway, David Brooks of the New York Times is allegedly a conservative, he's kind of

a moderate conservative of a New York northeastern bent.

He's a good writer though, and his piece this week is getting a lot of attention.

The headline is, what if we're the bad guys here?

And he writes about how Trump is still dominant in spite of all the indictments and stuff,

and I'm going to read you a pretty good chunk of this.
