I am privileged to be joined today by Dr. Norman Finkelstein. He is one of the leading writers on the Israel-Palestine conflict

and the author of numerous books, including his first, the rise and fall

of Palestine, knowing too much why the American Jewish romance with Israel is coming to an end,

beyond Phutzpah, Gaza an inquest into its martyrdom, image and reality of the Israel-Palestine

conflict. Most recently, the new Gaza's grave-diggers

an inquiry into corruption in high places. About his first book, the legendary Edward Said,

said, I don't know any book like it that deals so intimately and yet so clearly with the tragic

quandaries of the

Palestinian situation. The legendary Holocaust historian Raul Hilberg said Finklstein's place

in the whole history of writing history is assured. And about his new book, John Meersheimer,

and his new book is a first-class analysis of the lies and distortions that permeate the Western discourse

Let me start with what Benjamin Netanyahu recently said.

Speaking on Thursday at a conference hosted by a pre-military academy in the West Bank.

Netanyahu said that Israel is now in the grip of 60% of Gaza.

Members of the audience then shouted that Israel should take 100%.

And he said, first off, 70. Let's start with that.

Some people may have been surprised at this blunt admission.
