Because the news got weird.

It got real weird. Here we are in makeup on a Sunday, not the way God intended at all. Talking about the fact that yesterday you were

at the White House correspondence dinner and a wannabe shooter tried to break the security perimeter and get into the ballroom.

Tell us about your experience, Mary Catherine.

Yes, I was in the ballroom. I did not hear shots fired. The program had commenced. So there was, you know, that, they call it the voice of God. There was the PA voice telling us what to do.

We had done the anthem and the presentation of the colors.

The important VIPs had been brought in and announced and placed at the front table.

And so that was all ongoing and fairly loud.

The thing to know about this ballroom, by the way, is that 2,500 people fit in it.

This is the reason that this event is held at this Hilton because it does fit so many people.

And it's basically the only one that can.

And so it is very crowded in there.

It's very loud.

Everybody's talking to each other.

I didn't hear shots.
