Welcome to the Dr. Berg's Healthy Keto and Interminute Fasting Podcast, where Dr. Berg takes you on the journey for the truth about getting healthy and losing healthy weight. Let's talk about the difference between normal hair loss versus

0:47.2

pathological hair loss. Now you have hundreds of thousands of hairs growing on your head at any one given time.

0:57.5

And the life cycle of a hair is between two and five years.

And so that's not really a true thyroid problem. It's an immune problem. I put some links down below

2:11.5

for more information on that topic. Now, if your cortisol is too high, because your stress is too high, that can also cause

2:19.3

hair loss.

2:20.3

Also, you can lose your hair with certain medications, especially birth control pills, which, again,

2:26.3

is the added estrogen, antidepression medication, as well as anti-anxiety medication, can also cause
